Pay: $17.00 per hour Or 15% of sales

Expected hours: Every Sunday, 8:30am to 2:00pm

As a member of our Beef Jerky Farmers Market Sales Staff, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand and ensuring a positive customer experience at various farmers markets. You will be responsible for setting up the sales booth, engaging with customers, providing product samples, and handling sales transactions. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, outgoing, and passionate about high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Sales Booth Setup and Takedown:** Arrive early to set up the sales booth, ensuring an attractive and organized display of beef jerky products. Tear down the booth at the end of the market day, packing up materials and products efficiently.

2. **Customer Engagement:** Greet customers warmly, answer questions about our beef jerky products, provide samples, and offer product recommendations based on customer preferences.

3. **Sales Transactions:** Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

4. **Product Knowledge:** Maintain a thorough understanding of our beef jerky products, including ingredients, flavors, production methods, and any special promotions.

5. **Inventory Management:** Monitor inventory levels throughout the market day, restocking products as needed, and keeping an accurate record of sales and remaining stock.

6. **Promotion and Marketing:** Distribute promotional materials, such as flyers or coupons, and collect customer information for our mailing list. Participate in social media promotions and other marketing activities as needed.

7. **Sanitation and Safety:** Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.

8. **Feedback Collection:** Listen to customer feedback and share insights with the team to help improve products and services.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderately heavy objects, and perform setup/takedown tasks.- Passion for food products and a genuine interest in engaging with customers.

Working Conditions: The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies. Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings is essential.
