What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmers Market Store Attendant position at Jed’s Bread Craft Bakery?
We are looking for a dynamic, friendly and efficient customer service person, with the ability to multitask to join our team.
We are a small but busy bakery selling at local Farmers Markets in Montclair and Jersey City. This position is for Saturday and Sundays, and requires you to start early - like 5AM early, and to work all weekends! Because we operate from farmers markets, the people we serve are not just customers, they are community. So it is just as important to be kind and friendly as it is to be fast and efficient.
Duties include serving customers, restocking, setting up the store (meaning ability to lift, as need to set up tables and tents, and bread and pastry on crates).
You would need to feel comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and standing on your feet for up to 8 hours.
A love of artisanal bread, local food economy, and farm to table a bonus!
Previous experience with customer service in the food industry and knowledge of servsafe food handling preferred.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
