Processes and records payments and receipts
Examples of Duties
Examples Of Work:
UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION
Greets the public and provides information, instruction and assistance
Resets cash registers, counts money to verify amounts received, issues receipts and records payments
Prepares bank deposits and reports
Calculates and balances payments received with cash register tapes and prepares reports
Transfers money to armored car personnel
Prepares documents and forms for data processing posting
Receives merchandise and inventory
Provides technical assistance and instruction concerning operations and procedures
Performs related work
Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Communicates with individuals in person and utilizes all types of communication media
Spends prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and climbing
Operates office and computer equipment
Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds
Lifts and carries items weighing over 50 pounds in a team setting
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Two years of cashier, retail sales, bookkeeping or accounting experience
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
