  • Effectively communicate imaging results and next-step recommendations to referring physicians and patients.
  • Oversee the performance and quality of mammography technologists and ensure compliance with ACR and MQSA standards.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.
  • Stay current with advancements in breast imaging, emerging technologies, and evidence-based practices through continuing medical education.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Radiology (American Board of Radiology).
  • Fellowship training in Breast Imaging, preferred.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • Proficient in interpreting digital mammography, 3D tomosynthesis, and breast ultrasound.
  • Strong knowledge of MQSA regulations, HIPAA compliance, and radiology reporting standards.

Key Competencies

  • Mastery in identifying subtle and complex breast imaging findings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and risk assessment.
  • Clear and compassionate communicator with patients and physicians.
  • Skilled in explaining diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up recommendations in a patient-centered way.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.

Physical Requirements
