Auditor

The Audit Services Division of the Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) is hiring an Internal Auditor in Baton Rouge.

This position may be filled at the Auditor 1, 2, or 3 level, depending on qualifications.

• Perform risk assessments and internal audits
• Plan, lead and execute audit engagements
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls
• Use data analytics to test data, identify exceptions and spot trends
• Prepare work papers and audit reports
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines and resources

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Highly motivated, professional and adaptable
• A quick learner and self-starter
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• An effective written and verbal communicator
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
• Willing to pursue professional certifications related to the position

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Entry-level employees receive hands-on training and support as they develop their auditing skills, while experienced professionals will have opportunities to plan and lead engagements.

💼 Salary: $44,990–$96,533 annually, depending on level and qualifications

📍 Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

🗓️ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with a start time between 7:00–8:00 a.m.
