What are the responsibilities and job description for the Processing Analyst - Retirement Benefits Analyst position at Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System (LASERS)?
This is a Retirement Benefits Analyst (RBA) position, which works primarily to determine eligibility for benefits and calculate benefits due retirement system members in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. A Retirement Benefits Analyst is responsible for auditing and analyzing member files for accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to determining eligibility for membership, total years of service, contributions, and retirement eligibility. Applicant must possess a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and have the ability to meet deadlines. Must be dependable and self-motivated with a good attitude, good organization skills, and the ability to work well with others. This position is a training series, therefore if the employee development is successful, it allows the employee an opportunity to promote to an RBA 2, RBA 3, and RBA 4.
Annual Salary Range for Position: $35,069 - $68,806
Special Entrance Rate: $40,164.80
