Tucker Operator

Located in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana Concrete Products (LCP) is committed to providing superior structural and architectural precast-prestressed concrete products. The Tucker Equipment Operator is to operate specialized concrete pouring equipment. This role is critical to ensuring safe, precise, and efficient placement of concrete in a production environment. The operator must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating articulated, joystick-controlled machinery.

Role and Responsibilities

· Safely operate Tucker concrete pouring equipment (articulated, joystick-controlled, 4-wheeled hopper with auger) to transport and place concrete accurately)

· Control auger discharge to ensure consistent and precise concrete flow into molds/forms

· Maneuver equipment in tight production areas using articulated steering

· Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition

· Monitor equipment performance and identify mechanical or operational issues

· Assist with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment

· Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines to maintain a strong safety culture

· Coordinate with plant personnel, batch plant operators, and production team to ensure efficient workflow

· Maintain clean and organized work areas, including housekeeping around equipment and pour zone

• Assist with other production tasks as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

· 2–3 years of heavy equipment operation experience (preferred)

· Experience with articulated equipment, joystick controls, or concrete placement equipment strongly preferred

· Ability to operate equipment with precision in a production or plant setting

· Strong understanding of jobsite and plant safety practices

· Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance

· Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
