Located in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana Concrete Products (LCP) is committed to providing superior structural and architectural precast-prestressed concrete products. LCP is currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to work locally in Baton Rouge, LA. Applicants must be hard-working, responsible individuals who are dedicated to promoting a culture of safety.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Acting as a lead tech which includes performing mechanical activities and resolving difficult mechanical problems;
- Performing onsite repairs of heavy-duty diesel trucks and other heavy equipment;
- Performing regular preventative maintenance on trucks and assorted heavy equipment;
- Managing preventative maintenance schedule for trucks and assorted heavy equipment;
- Utilizing laptop-based diagnostic programs to troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems;
- Adhering to all company safety guidelines and rules at all times; \* Assisting in keeping work areas organized and neat, including any housekeeping tasks as requested;

- Safely using mechanical and or power tools.
The ideal candidate for the Diesel Mechanic position will possess the following experience and qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of diesel engines, their electrical system, and their mechanisms;
- Experience with hydraulics, compressed air systems, and welding repairs;
- Willingness to perform maintenance in the yard, outside of the controlled environment of the shop;
- Open minded with willingness to learn;
- Attention to detail and attention to safety;
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics;
- Ability to work with a Team and take direction from Team Leads;
- Effective collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience in logging or oilfield considered a plus.
Drug screening will be required as part of pre-employment process.
