Louis Industries, a growing family-owned metal manufacturer, is looking for a Logistics Lead to support daily shipping, receiving, and material-handling operations. This hands-on role ensures accurate material flow, maintains shipping documentation, supports customer logistics portals, and assists with providing day to day guidance and support to the logistics team. The Logistics Lead also serves as backup to both the Logistics Supervisor and Logistics Clerk.
What You’ll Do
Receive, inspect, and move incoming materials using forklifts and cranes.
Prepare and process outgoing shipments (pick lists, packing slips, bills of lading, labels).
Coordinate inbound/outbound loads with Sales, Production, and Logistics.
Support drivers and oversee safe loading/unloading and staging.
Enter and maintain ERP data for material movement and shipping accuracy.
Administer customer logistics portals and upload shipment documents.
Communicate with Sales, Customer Service, and vendors on delivery status.
Assist with continuous improvement, inventory accuracy, and discrepancy resolution.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
Forklift certification required; crane experience preferred.
Strong ERP and documentation skills (GSS or equivalent).
Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
