This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes.

About The Role
Louis Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to help optimize production processes, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
- Develop, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness and manufacturability reviews
- Analyze cycle times, workflows, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints; recommend and implement process improvements (cost benefit analysis).
- Assist with root-cause analysis on issues related to quality, scrap, rework, downtime, and productivity.
- Optimize standard work, setup sheets, work instructions, and routing information
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams during setups and process issues
- Assist with equipment installs, automation projects, and process capability improvements
- Partner with Maintenance on equipment commissioning and long-term reliability
- Support Lean, 5S, ISO 9001, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
- Strong understanding of CNC, laser, press brake, welding, or automated systems
- CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Practical problem-solver who’s comfortable on the shop floor
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
