Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for smooth service flow

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Culinary experience or understanding of food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
• Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and order calculations accurately
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; experience with upselling techniques beneficial
• Capable of working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic environment
