What You Will Do

  • Provide Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries via phone and digital platforms regarding HR policies, benefits, and general HR services.
  • Manage HR Cases: Utilize case management systems to log, track, and resolve employee inquiries while ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Research and Resolve Issues: Investigate employee concerns, interpret HR policies and procedures, and provide accurate guidance or escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Maintain a professional, empathetic, and service-oriented approach during all employee interactions.
  • Maintain Case Ownership: Monitor and manage assigned cases to ensure timely resolution and clear communication with employees throughout the process.
  • Use HR Systems Effectively: Navigate HR information systems to retrieve employee data, update records, and support case resolution.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume customer service, employee support, call center, help desk, or service-oriented environment.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively via phone and written communication.
  • Case or Ticket Management Experience: Experience using a case management, ticketing, or service desk system to document and resolve requests.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience navigating enterprise systems, databases, or HR systems to locate and manage information.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to research issues, interpret policies or procedures, and resolve employee or customer inquiries.

Education/Experience

Education

Position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and a minimum two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using ServiceNow case management system.
  • Experience with SAP HR systems.
  • Previous experience supporting HR shared services or employee service centers.
  • Experience handling HR-related inquiries (benefits, policies).

Essential Job Functions: (can perform with or without reasonable accommodation): Sitting for long periods of time. Hearing & Speech through phone system.

Work Environment

Work Location: The work location for this position is telework. Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details

Directive 206.2: Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. Please refer to Policy P701 for applicant eligibility requirements.

Term Position: Regular-status Laboratory employees applying for term-status positions may retain regular status with approval of the cognizant Principle Associate Director.
