SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting in the support of the daily activities of MEDITECH and additional related software applications. This position provides training to Loretto staff, assists in the implementation and testing of various clinical software and system updates and other duties as assigned. Analyzes user needs, requirements. procedures, and problems relevant to assigned information system programs to automate processing and improve functionality of the primary and associated clinical system programs of the Healthcare Information Systems (HCIS) by evaluating, designing, developing. testing. implementing and maintaining the feature functions of new and existing systems. Leads/manages assigned project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a key onsite IT resource for facility implementation and support of a broad sci of clinical applications.
- Leads. supports and facilitates the facility’s core clinical systems team on clinical IT activities.
- Provides second level support as a broad clinical subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests received from the Meditech core team, help desk or other facility services resources and provides status on user issues.
- Works with Meditech technical support staff, subject matter experts and services resources in managing resolution of clinical and financial application incidents and requests.
- Provides on-call assistance as needed.
- Works with Director of IT to monitor. and facilitate new module application testing and implementation for the facility.
- Assists in the facilitation and management of facility specific dictionaries.
- Provides input to and customizes base division policies and procedures. training. and best practices for use within the facility.
- Works with the Meditech Core Team members to deliver hands-on training as needed.
- Works with the IT team to actively promote, implement and support division standardization, utilization, integration and optimization plans for clinical applications.
- Coordinates facility clinical application reporting requests and assists with defining report requirements and validates reporting results.
- May develop clinical application reports as needed.
- Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance.
- Builds strong relationships at the facility with core customer base (nurses. physicians. core team members. etc.) and facility leadership.

COMPLIANCE RESPOSIBILITIES
- Understand, and adheres to Loretto Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and hospital regulations, laws. and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required:
- BA/BS in computer science, information systems management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Direct experience with the use and support of MEDITECH is a significant requirement.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years clinical information systems experience (or equivalent) implementing and supporting clinical computeri1ed applications.
- NPR report writer experience required.
- Five or more years’ experience with implementation and direct support of clinical ancillary related Healthcare Information System in an IS dependent.
- MEDTECH experience required. Strong background with query tools (preferably MEDITECH and NPR Report Writer) and basic PC operations.
- Experience with QI tools proven team leadership desired.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
