Job Summary/Responsibilities
The Business Travel Sales Manager role is responsible for effectively soliciting and promoting professional business development with all accounts their market segments. They are also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues.
- While the bulk of this position focuses on BT travel bookings this position also is responsible for SMERF group bookings of less than 25 rooms.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
- Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP’s, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team
- Initiate and follow up on leads.
- Maintain and participate in any active sales solicitation program.
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within assigned market.
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other associates and departments.
- Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections.
- Assist in implementing special promotions.

Education/Formal Training
- High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience.
- Previous luxury hotel experience, preferred.
- Corporate Business Travel (BT) sales role strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Requires knowledge of computer equipment.
- Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.
- Requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and work to ensure resolution.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the Loren’s unique culture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
