School Behavior Specialist

In-School Developmental/Behavior Support

Current open positions:

1-2 full time school positions available in Newport - Elementary School - Positions are year round if needed!

We also have on call subbing positions available. Would need to be willing to cover Newport, Middletown, Tiverton, and Barrigton schools.

Seeking skilled individuals to provide one-on-one support to a child requiring social emotional and developmental supports throughout the school day.

Successful applicants must have experience supporting children with social/emotional delays, significant behaviors and/or developmental disabilities. Applicants must be familiar with working in the school setting. Staff will be expected to be with student throughout the day including lunch, recess, and specials.

Salary starts at $22.00 per hour.

Shift hours are based on the school day and school calendar.

Typical High School hours are Mon through Friday 7:00-2:00, Middle School 7:30-2:30, and Elementary 8:00-3:00

*Requirements:

Bachelors degree preferred. Previous experience working with children with behaviors and minimum RBT or Associate’s degree or Para-Pro Cert required. Prior to employment, successful candidate must pass BCI background check, CANTS clearance and driving record check.
