Responsibilities
Sheet Laser Operator Level 1
· Responsible for the timely and quality execution of material processing through the company’s sheet laser cutting systems.
· Responsible for the inspection and acceptance or rejection of material, type, quality and quantity being delivered for laser processing.
· Skilled in the inspection of consumables such as but not limited to windows and nozzles.
· Able to perform “Tape Shot” testing to verify nozzle centering.
· Good understanding of cut conditions and can make minor adjustements when needed to maintain optimal cutting conditions.
· Proficient in the general maintenance of the sheet laser cutting system, material handling systems, and exhaust systems.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area during shift and performs end of shift clean-up activities to put away tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, cleaning machines, sweeping floor, and throwing out trash.
· Performs any other duties or activities required by supervisors and managers.
· Follows all company policies and safety guidelines.
Sheet Laser Operator Level 2
· Responsible for the timely and quality execution of material processing through the company’s sheet laser cutting systems and can train others.
· Responsible for the inspection and acceptance or rejection of material, type, quality and quantity being delivered for laser processing and can train others.
· Expert in the inspection of consumables such as but not limited to windows and nozzles and can train others.
· Able to perform all general testing such as but not limited to mode burn, slit test, gas preasure test, and kerf testing to optimize or trouble shoot machine performance.
· Superior understanding of cut conditions and can make all required adjustements when needed to achieve optimal cutting performance.
· Expert in the general maintenance of the sheet laser cutting system, material handling systems, and exhaust systems and can train others.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area during shift and performs end of shift clean-up activities to put away tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, cleaning machines, sweeping floor, and throwing out trash.
· Performs any other duties or activities required by supervisors and managers.
· Follows all company policies and safety guidelines.
