The Director of Admissions is responsible for overseeing the admissions process, ensuring a seamless and compassionate transition for residents and their families.
Key responsibilities:
Managing admission-related staff and ensuring all protocols and procedures are rigorously followed.
Providing comprehensive information about the facility’s services and programs.
Conducting facility tours, discussing financial options, and coordinating with medical teams to assess the specific needs of incoming residents.
Collaborating with rehabilitation professionals and technology vendors to evaluate residents’ mobility, assistance, and rehabilitation needs.
Staying current in industry standards and policies and integrating expertise in understanding regulatory compliance.
Demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills and building rapport with residents and families through listening and effective follow-up.
Ensuring the facility is safe and efficient, and promoting safety by following infection control and universal precautions.
Developing and providing direction for the inquiry and admission process for the facility.
The following qualifications are required:
Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, health administration, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential
