Long Island Pool Cleaning (LIPC) is seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our growing team. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, want to learn a valuable trade, and you’re looking for a new change of scenery, this is a great opportunity for you!
No prior pool experience? No problem! We provide full hands-on training, you will start as a Helper working alongside an experienced Lead Technician, learning the ins and outs of the industry with the opportunity to train up to become a full Technician.
Position Details
- Type: Full-time / Seasonal
- Hours: Minimum 6 hours per shift (typically 6–12 hours depending on seasonal demand)
- Location: Long Island, NY
Key Responsibilities (As you Train)
- Assist the Lead Technician with pool maintenance, openings, closings, and chemical balancing
- You will learn how to handle manual tasks such as skimming, brushing, emptying skimmer baskets, and setting up vacuums
- Load, unload, and carry pool equipment, hoses, and chemical supplies (up to 50 lbs)
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck
- Serve as a backup driver when needed, safely navigating daily routes
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners
Requirements
- Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record (driving is a secondary responsibility, but a valid license is required)
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn on the job
- Reliable transportation to and from the starting shop/location
