## Pool Technician Helper & Driver
Long Island Pool Cleaning (LIPC) is seeking a reliable, motivated **Driver/Helper** to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, possesses a strong work ethic, and can work efficiently with a team. You will work alongside with one of our technicians, ensuring routes are completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards.
### Position Details
* **Hours:** Minimum of 6 hours per shift, with shifts typically ranging from 6–12 hours depending on workload and seasonal demand.
* **Location:** Long Island, NY
### Requirements
* **Valid New York State Driver's License** with a clean driving record
* High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
* Ability to safely navigate and drive service routes across Long Island
* Physical capability to handle heavy lifting (pool equipment, chemical buckets, and salt bags up to 50 lbs)
* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from the lead technician
* Reliable transportation
### Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with Long Island geography and navigation apps
* Basic familiarity with outdoor maintenance or pool cleaning
### Responsibilities
* Safely operate the service vehicle and navigate daily routes efficiently
* Assist the lead technician with tasks related to pool maintenance, openings, and closings
* Handle the loading, unloading, and carrying of pool chemicals, hoses, and equipment
* Assist with manual tasks such as skimming, brushing, emptying baskets, and setting up vacuums
* Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service truck
* Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
### Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on reliability, driving record, and general labor experience. Qualified candidates may choose between an hourly pay structure or a per-job (per-gig) compensation arrangement.
