Signature Cleaning Services Inc. of Long Island is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Cleaner/Porter to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across different job sites in Nassau County, Long Island. The responsibilities will vary based on the specific requirements of each site.
Essential Functions:
- Collect and dispose of garbage
- Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean restrooms
- Dust and wipe high-touch areas
- Ensure building entrances are always free of clutter
- Address minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs
- Report damages, coordinate with technicians, and oversee repairs
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
- Place safety hazard signs, including wet paint and wet floor signs
- Respond to major spills or other cleaning emergencies
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Salary: $16 to $18 per hour

Qualifications:- Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor or Custodian preferred
- Hands on experience with industrial cleaning equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, squat and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Solid verbal communication skills to interact with cleaning staff, technicians, and customers (English or Spanish)
- Availability to work in flexible shifts (e.g., weekends and evenings)
- Must be reliable and professional
Experience/ Education:
- Cleaning experience and ability to operate cleaning equipment preferred
- High School Diploma/ GED (Preferred)
