Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

A leading manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support its expanding Finance organization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and provides strategic financial insights to drive operational performance across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical background, experience in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrated leadership capabilities within finance or similar functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Prepare and present executive-level reporting packages, summarizing key trends, business drivers, and financial risks/opportunities.
• Serve as a finance lead for assigned business units, partnering with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to support decision-making.
• Conduct complex variance analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability studies to improve overall business performance.
• Oversee KPI tracking and ensure consistent reporting across functions.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity within the FP&A function.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts, supporting skill development, workflow coordination, and project prioritization.
• Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, including pricing, capital investments, and cost-optimization efforts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and financial best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, mentoring staff, or managing small finance teams.
• Strong financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (SAP, Hyperion, or similar).
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior leadership clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
• Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution environment is a plus.
