Overview
A leading manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support its expanding Finance organization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and provides strategic financial insights to drive operational performance across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical background, experience in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrated leadership capabilities within finance or similar functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Prepare and present executive-level reporting packages, summarizing key trends, business drivers, and financial risks/opportunities.
- Serve as a finance lead for assigned business units, partnering with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to support decision-making.
- Conduct complex variance analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability studies to improve overall business performance.
- Oversee KPI tracking and ensure consistent reporting across functions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity within the FP&A function.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts, supporting skill development, workflow coordination, and project prioritization.
- Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, including pricing, capital investments, and cost-optimization efforts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and financial best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, mentoring staff, or managing small finance teams.
- Strong financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (SAP, Hyperion, or similar).
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior leadership clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution environment is a plus.
