Operations Staff Accountant

Overview
We are seeking multiple Operations Staff Accountants to join a collaborative and growing accounting team. These positions will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple business branches. The role requires not only strong accounting skills but also the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including branch managers and operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the month-end close process for assigned branches, including journal entries, prepaids, accruals, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure integrity of branch-level financial information and compliance with internal processes.
- Review and analyze working capital accounts, including AR, AP, inventory, prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets.
- Partner closely with branch and operations leaders to provide accurate financial insights and maintain strong internal controls.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to branch teams to ensure consistent accounting practices.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- 2 years of general ledger accounting experience including journal entries and month-end close.
- Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); ERP systems experience a plus (Oracle, OneStream).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across different branches and departments.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
