FP&A Analyst – Manufacturing / Data & Systems Focus
A growing, private equity-backed manufacturing platform is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its lean and highly visible finance team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, operations, systems, and data analytics.
This is not a traditional reporting-focused FP&A role. The team is looking for someone hands-on and analytical who can work through ambiguity, improve processes, and help transform ERP data into actionable business insights.
The organization operates in a fast-paced acquisition-driven environment and is looking for someone eager to make an impact beyond maintaining spreadsheets and recurring reports.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial analysis
- Assist with performance reporting and profitability analysis
- Develop insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
ERP Data & Reporting
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze ERP system data
- Build and improve reporting related to:
- Margins
- Product profitability
- Customer profitability
- Operational performance
- Clean and structure underutilized or messy datasets into meaningful reporting tools
Cost Accounting & Operational Analysis
- Support product costing and variance analysis
- Analyze inventory activity and COGS trends
- Help identify operational efficiencies and cost savings opportunities
- Improve and enhance cost models and reporting processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, purchasing, and production teams
- Support pricing analysis, capital investment decisions, and process improvement initiatives
What They’re Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis, Business Analysis, or related finance roles
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Ability to extract, organize, and interpret large datasets
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Background:
- Manufacturing industry exposure
- Cost accounting experience
- Experience building or improving reporting from imperfect or incomplete data
- SQL exposure or technical systems/reporting experience is a plus
