Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to support our financial operations.
About the Role
This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and supporting overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation for accuracy before processing.
- Manage timely reconciliation of vendor statements and address discrepancies effectively.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure all vendor payments are processed on schedule in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and organize check runs, ensuring payments are properly matched with supporting documentation.
- Maintain a structured and organized filing system for all accounts payable records.
- Handle new vendor setup, including distributing, collecting, and reviewing necessary documentation.
- Utilize spreadsheets and other software tools to compile, analyze, and format financial data and reports.
- Assist with month-end accounts payable accruals and contribute to closing activities.
- Support periodic bank audits, year-end audits, and other financial review processes.
- Foster positive working relationships with various teams to support efficient accounts payable operations.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
- Uphold company policies and contribute to departmental initiatives and continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience in the manufacturing space is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred but Associate/High School Diploma is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
