What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at London Approach?
Professional Services firm is looking for a results-oriented and detail-driven Accounting Manager to join their core team with complete oversight of general accounting, monthly close, payroll and billing operations — helping to ensure we deliver excellent service and financial accuracy for clients and internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid role, 2 days on-site/ 3 remote.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations: Responsible for GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close.
- Reporting & Compliance: Deliver accurate financial statements, prepare monthly sales analysis, manage tax filings and ensure accounting standards (GAAP) are met.
- External Relationship Management: Serve as liaison to banking, insurance, public accounting, and other brokers.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong financial processes and controls.
- Strategic Support: Provide financial insights for business decisions and partnerships.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
- 7-10 years in accounting, with experience in public or corporate accounting
- Highly advanced Excel skills
- QuickBooks experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
