Prep Cook – LoLa 41About The Role
The Prep Cook is a critical part of our back-of-house team, responsible for preparing ingredients and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role ensures that all food items are ready for service and that our kitchen maintains the highest standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety.
What You’ll Do
Perform routine kitchen duties according to established prep lists
Label, store, and organize ingredients in designated storage areas
Ensure proper food preservation and storage techniques to prevent spoilage
Stock, clean, and organize kitchen utensils and equipment
Inspect and sanitize food preparation areas to maintain a safe kitchen environment
Assist chefs and line cooks as needed during service
Support a clean, efficient, and professional kitchen culture
Requirements
At least 1 year of related kitchen or prep experience
Ability to work weekends, with additional weekday and weekend shifts as needed
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to food safety
Ability to stand and work on your feet for long shifts
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support the kitchen wherever needed
