SUMMARY: LogistiQ, a Division of LEWCO is a fast-growing conveyor equipment supplier for customers in retail, ecommerce & distribution located in Port Clinton, Ohio. With deep roots in American ingenuity, LogistiQ has the experience of a 100-year-old company but operates much like a start-up with high energy and nimble speed.
LogistiQ is seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Project Estimator to join our team. This person would be responsible for managing and developing estimates, quotes and proposals on all company products & services to meet the needs of our customers. Individuals in this position must have in depth knowledge of product application, product design and industry/customer standards. Project Estimators are focused on evaluating new opportunities to determine the company’s ability to manufacture and integrate the products that meet customer demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop, oversee, and facilitate the development of proposals by cross-functional teams.
- Review opportunities (RFQ’s) and specify company product to meet customer applications.
- Review drawings and specifications from customers to estimate company product and services for inclusion in quotes and proposals.
- Quickly and effectively prepare quotations on all LogistiQ products to distributors and end use customers.
- Interact with customers while developing product solutions, quotations, and proposals.
- Prepare cost estimates for non-standard products.
- Prepare, send, and follow-up on quotations and proposals as assigned.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Industry knowledge of product application.
- Knowledge of product design and shop floor processes as required to estimate product cost.
- Knowledge of fundamental calculations supporting product design.
- Excellent people skills as required for customer interaction and to team with other LogistiQ personnel in meeting customer expectations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, engineering, and/or related area and 3-5 years’ experience in a related role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read & interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Excellent math skills are required. Individuals in this position must be able to perform engineering calculations employing algebra, trigonometry and geometry as required. A fundamental understanding of profitability metrics and cost-based accounting is also required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must be proficient at Microsoft Office products and possess adequate skill to navigate and work within company’s ERP and CRM software. Excellent typing skills are required. Fluent in AutoCAD as is required to develop equipment layouts or proposal drawings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. Employee spends some time on shop floor. Most of the time will be spent sitting in front of a computer and use of the phone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most of the time, the work environment is a pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in the office but does have occasional interaction with personnel on the shop floor. In plants, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed but does not require hearing protection in most areas.
