- Own the end-to-end user experience for digital banking products, ensuring every interaction—from onboarding to daily usage and edge cases—meets top-tier consumer app standards. Act as the voice of the user, balancing usability, compliance, and business goals.
- Lead user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) and translate insights into clear user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. Design primarily in Figma and continuously evolve the design system, including components, patterns, and tokens.
- Work closely with engineering early in the process to ensure feasibility, and validate shipped features for design fidelity, accessibility, and overall experience quality. Facilitate design critiques, stakeholder reviews, and iterative improvements.
- Requires expert-level Figma skills, strong grasp of mobile-first design (iOS/Material), accessibility standards, and front-end constraints. Experience with data-rich interfaces, user research methods, and basic HTML/CSS is expected.
- Must be able to justify design decisions with evidence, iterate quickly without over-polishing, and communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional teams. Empathy for users in financially sensitive contexts is critical.
- Ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience, including consumer fintech or regulated products, with a portfolio showcasing mobile-first, high-impact designs. Should be comfortable operating as the primary designer in a lean team.
- Fluency with AI design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Google Stitch, ChatGPT, Dovetail) is expected to accelerate prototyping, research synthesis, and UX content creation.
