Our team delivers approximately 200 projects annually, ranging from $25K to $2M , and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and professionalism.

Role Summary

The AV Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing installed audiovisual systems across Logic Integration's commercial and residential client base. This role requires 2–5 years of experience in AV installation, service, or a related technical trade with demonstrated troubleshooting ability.

Core Responsibilities

Diagnostics, Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Diagnose and resolve signal path issues, ground loops, impedance mismatches, network connectivity failures, and control system faults
  • Perform firmware updates, software patches, and configuration changes on AV equipment in the field
  • Upload, download, and perform field edits to control system programs (Crestron, Control4) and DSP platforms (QSC, Biamp)
  • Configure and tune audio systems: gain structure, EQ, routing, zone management, and speaker optimization
  • Repair or replace faulty equipment, cabling, and terminations as needed

Preventative Maintenance & System Support

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance visits on client AV systems per Logic Care service plans
  • Conduct system health checks including signal verification, audio tuning, video calibration, and network performance
  • Test and certify cabling using appropriate test equipment (cable testers, multimeters, tone generators)
  • Document system conditions, maintenance performed, and any recommendations for upgrades or repairs
  • Support remote monitoring and diagnostics for managed service clients

Client Relations & Communication

  • Serve as the on-site representative of Logic Integration — maintain the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and client care
  • Communicate clearly with clients about system issues, repair timelines, and recommended solutions
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Programmers on escalated issues or system modifications
  • Process service work orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide client training on system operation when needed

  • Install, connect, and configure AV equipment including displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, microphones, and control devices
  • Read and interpret AV drawings, floor plans, rack elevations, and signal flow diagrams
  • Ensure all work meets AVIXA installation standards for cable management, rack building, and device mounting

Job Site Operations & Documentation

  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness – daily trash removal, weekly deep clean, organized tool and parts inventory
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all client visits
  • Comply with all job site safety requirements including PPE, OSHA standards, and client-specific safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all client sites
