Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our childcare center. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants, fostering their early development and growth. You will work closely with the lead teacher and collaborate with the team to create a positive and enriching experience for our little learners.
Responsibilities:
1. Care and Supervision: Provide attentive care and constant supervision to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
2. Daily Routine: Assist in implementing age-appropriate daily routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime, following the center's established guidelines.
3. Developmental Activities: Engage infants in stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities to promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth.
4. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's progress, daily routines, and any important information.
5. Environment: Help maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other team members to plan and execute activities that align with the center's curriculum and philosophy.
7. Record Keeping: Assist in keeping accurate records of daily activities, observations, and any notable milestones to support individualized care and development plans.
8. Health and Safety: Follow health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation, hygiene practices, and first aid procedures, to ensure the well-being of all children.
9. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or relevant early childhood education qualifications preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting is desirable.
- A genuine love for children and a nurturing and patient demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of infants and provide individualized care and attention.
- Commitment to upholding the center's values, policies, and standards of care.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and health clearance required.
