Nursing Assistant/Dementia Activities
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant with Dementia/Memory Care education to join our memory care team. The ideal candidate will provide individualized and group activities to our 16 memory care patients Monday through Friday to ensure they receive assistance with both cognitive activities and some patient care tasks to contribute to an overall positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinate, plan and deliver meaningful individual activity sessions tailored to the memory care resident.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic patient care techniques.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to memory care residents is needed.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of relevant training programs is preferred but will train the right person.

Pay: $22.68 - $23.25 per hour
