Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with heavy lifting and loading/unloading of goods as required during deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with passengers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain schedules and manage time efficiently.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary.
- Experience in paratransit services is a plus but not required.
- A commitment to safety and customer service excellence is essential for this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
