Title: IT Trainer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65-80K per year
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and delivery of IT training programs for new hires and existing staff
- Assist in facilitating instructor-led training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one coaching
- Help maintain and update training materials, including guides, job aids, and e-learning content
- Provide basic end-user support and follow-up assistance after training sessions
- Assist in managing training schedules, calendars, and communications
- Support Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including course assignments, tracking, and reporting
- Partner with IT leadership to establish training priorities focused on IT hygiene, standard practices, and user enablement to improve overall technology adoption and efficiency.
- Stay current with firm technologies and industry trends
Qualifications:
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, training, legal technology, or a related field
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Comfort working with professional users such as attorneys and legal staff
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Interest in legal technology and emerging AI tools
Preferred
Exposure to or hands-on experience with:
- iManage Work
- Litera products
- Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience supporting or training users in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with AI concepts such as:
- Generative AI
- Prompting basics
- Data security considerations in AI tools
Education and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Education, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in training, IT support, or a related role
- Strong interest in learning and development, technology, and user support
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams) is a plus
- Preferred proficiency with SAP SuccessFactors for managing corporate learning programs, including user enrollment, content deployment, reporting, and system support
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and writing, reading, presenting, and typing on a computer
- May be required to lift up to 20 pounds at a time
