Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,150 - $7,280 (competitive locum tenens pay)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (excellent work-life balance)
- Clinic Days: 4 per week
- OR Days: 1 per week
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Patient Encounters: Approximately 20 per shift
- Facility: 25-bed department, Level 3 trauma center
- Lodging: Facility lodging with amenities available during scheduled shifts
- Start Date: August 4, 2026 (ongoing coverage)
- Call: No call coverage required
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Medical License, CDS, and DEA required
- Board certified or board eligible in Urology (ABU or AOBOS - Urological Surgery)
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency/fellowship or equivalent foreign training in urology
- At least 1 year of clinical experience OR completion of residency/fellowship within the past 12 months
- Minimum of 50 urological procedures performed in the past 12 months
- ACLS certification required
Responsibilities
- Provide general adult urology care in clinic and OR settings (pediatric care preferred but not required)
- Perform laparoscopic surgeries and ureteroscopy
- Conduct renal and bladder ultrasounds with biopsy
- Perform TRUS biopsies and fertility work-ups
- Utilize Da Vinci Xi Robot for robotic urologic procedures (preferred)
- Perform nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and incontinence procedures (preferred)
- Deliver patient-centered, high-quality care and document encounters accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, anesthesia, radiology, pathology) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
