Job Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathic school
• Residency trained in Oncology or a related specialty
• Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
• Valid license to practice medicine in Montana (or eligibility to obtain Montana medical license)
• Valid DEA registration (Montana)
• BLS or ACLS certification (upon hire for acute care hospital positions, or within 90 days for ambulatory clinic)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical practice as a physician; prior oncology experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills; commitment to patient-centered cancer care
• Professionalism, respect for patient confidentiality, and collaborative team approach

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology care: evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cancer using history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing
• Develop and prescribe individualized cancer treatment plans with a patient-centered approach
• Coordinate multidisciplinary oncology care and consult with surgical, radiation, and supportive care colleagues as needed
• Document thoroughly in the medical record to support continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives
• Communicate treatment options, address patient and family concerns, and provide clear education on care plans
• Be available for office visits, phone calls, electronic communications, and on-call coverage according to clinic policy
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts for patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience
• Provide leadership and constructive feedback to the clinical care team and engage in ongoing professional development
• Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
