Job Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathic school
- Residency trained in Oncology or a related specialty
- Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
- Valid license to practice medicine in Montana (or eligibility to obtain Montana medical license)
- Valid DEA registration (Montana)
- BLS or ACLS certification (upon hire for acute care hospital positions, or within 90 days for ambulatory clinic)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical practice as a physician; prior oncology experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills; commitment to patient-centered cancer care
- Professionalism, respect for patient confidentiality, and collaborative team approach
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive oncology care: evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cancer using history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing
- Develop and prescribe individualized cancer treatment plans with a patient-centered approach
- Coordinate multidisciplinary oncology care and consult with surgical, radiation, and supportive care colleagues as needed
- Document thoroughly in the medical record to support continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives
- Communicate treatment options, address patient and family concerns, and provide clear education on care plans
- Be available for office visits, phone calls, electronic communications, and on-call coverage according to clinic policy
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts for patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience
- Provide leadership and constructive feedback to the clinical care team and engage in ongoing professional development
