We are seeking a Cardio Electrophysiology Physician for a 45-day assignment in Illinois, starting Jul 31, 2026. This role provides consistent coverage for a rapidly growing cardiac surgery and structural heart program, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical electrophysiology services. The schedule involves 24-hour call (7a-7a) with a mix of clinic, ambulatory procedures, and inpatient call coverage.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology services.
- Perform diagnostic and interventional EP procedures.
- Insert, revise, replace, and remove cardiac pacemakers or cardioverter/defibrillators.
- Perform conversion of cardiac rhythm.
- Perform measurement of cardiac rhythm (percutaneous approach).
- Conduct cardiac ablation procedures.
- Perform Watchman device implantation.
- Execute loop recorder implantation and removal.
- Consult on patients admitted under hospitalist and ICU services.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for cardiac surgery and structural heart patients.
