- Shift: Weekend coverage (Friday 5pm – Monday 7am)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts as needed
- Assignment Dates: July 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026

Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois medical license (required)
- MD or DO degree
- Board certified in Interventional Cardiology
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Cardiology
- Experience with cardiac catheterization, PCI, and Cath Lab procedures
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Prior locum tenens or hospital-based interventional cardiology experience
- Familiarity with STEMI auto-accept programs and regional STEMI systems
- Strong collaboration with hospitalist, ICU teams, and employed/PSA cardiologists
- ACLS and BLS certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full Interventional Cardiology coverage during weekends, including STEMI call response
- Perform cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and other interventional procedures in the Cath Lab
- Cover the hospital's STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients and respond to acute coronary syndromes
- Perform Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed and consult on admissions
- Collaborate closely with hospitalist and ICU teams for continuity of care
- Coordinate care with other employed and PSA cardiologists to ensure seamless patient transitions
