The Payroll Department at Lockton is looking to expand our team and add a Tax Administrator. This role is critical to payroll tax compliance for our W-2 Associates. As a Tax Administrator you will work directly with Payroll and in coordination with Corporate Tax, Finance, and Accounting.
The Payroll Department at Lockton is looking to expand our team and add a Tax Administrator. This role is critical to payroll tax compliance for our W-2 Associates. As a Tax Administrator you will work directly with Payroll and in coordination with Corporate Tax, Finance, and Accounting.
- Register new tax jurisdictions (state and local)Close out tax jurisdictions
- Research and resolve any payroll tax discrepancies with jurisdictions
- Prepare and file amended or missing returns
- Organize existing and incoming tax notifications
- Develop and document a resolution process and registration process
- Assist the Senior Tax Administrator with quarterly and year-end tax balancing
- Assist the team with payroll processing items as needed
- Respond to tax related questions from Lockton Associates
- Audit payroll taxes and Associate tax profiles on a weekly routinely
- US payroll tax experience required
- Global payroll tax experience preferred
- Payroll processing experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful
- Strict adherence to Lockton’s data compliance and integrity policies
- Ability to prioritize and shift focus based on project urgency
- Must exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking in daily tasks
