Summary
The catering server’s primary responsibility is to provide outstanding service and help to create memorable events for our clients. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for great food and service.
Operations
Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and buffet lines
Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests professionally and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food prep stations and serving areas
Assist with kitchen duties as needed, such as basic food prep and dishwashing
Monitor food levels and replenish items promptly to ensure a smooth service
Interact with guests in a friendly, polite, and helpful manner
Break down event spaces, clean up, and properly store equipment and leftover food
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Work Environment
Fast-paced restaurant or event environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Employees may be asked to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours in a shift.
Other Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English
Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours
Must have a current TIPS/TAP Card
Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
Physical Requirements
The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time and may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
