Duties

• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curricula such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches.
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among toddlers.
• Support children's physical development through activities that promote motor skills, coordination, and overall health.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to guide positive behavior and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs.
• Incorporate literacy education and basic math concepts into daily activities to promote early learning foundations.
• Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and innovative teaching methods such as early intervention strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting, preferably with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tools tailored for toddler care.
• Experience with special education needs and implementing inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports social-emotional growth and literacy education.
• Certification in early childhood education or related field is preferred; relevant coursework or training in Montessori methods is a plus.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures for early learners and experience tutoring or teaching physical education are advantageous. Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
