Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and/or light commercial carpentry, the ability to work independently or as part of a crew, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. This position requires reliable transportation and a personal set of basic carpentry tools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform framing, trim work, siding, decking, and other general carpentry tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and job specifications
- Measure, cut, and install building materials with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
- Communicate effectively with project managers, other trades, and clients
- Travel to various job sites as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
- Own set of basic carpentry tools
- Physical stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA certification or safety training
- Experience in remodeling or finish carpentry
- Ability to operate equipment such as table saws, miter saws, and nail guns
