Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various building components using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Perform framing work including metal stud framing and dimensional measurements for accurate construction.
- Erect steel structure elements and install rebar for concrete reinforcement in foundation and structural elements.
- Execute concrete forming.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during site preparation, material handling, or demolition activities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites to ensure a secure environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to interpret construction plans and schematics effectively.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with the installation of structural components, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site work with a strong background in carpentry and related trades.
- Familiarity in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawing analysis.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment.
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for framing and trim carpentry projects.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical plans.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy lifting, working at heights, and site management.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from construction plans while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
