CHURCH INFORMATION
Living Hope Community Church is a growing church (50-100 members) with an incredible passion to worship and serve its community in Sylmar, CA. We are an independent, evangelical, Spirit-filled church serving the San Fernando Valley since 1947. We are looking to continue to build a ministry team to create an identity in our city and surrounding areas and serve them in the name of Jesus. We are called to build kingdom people empowered with the Holy Spirit to be an extension of God’s presence.
DESCRIPTION
Our church is seeking a mature Christ-follower to lead and build children’s ministry (1st-8th grade). This person would teach and coordinate weekly Sunday school lessons. It is possible that there are other teacher volunteers available to serve and teach different ages as this department grows. We believe that teaching children is not a type of babysitting, but a ministry where they are instructed in the way of the Word that later, they would not depart from it.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him expressed by ongoing spiritual disciplines
- Commitment to moral purity.
- Demonstrated excellence leading student ministries
SKILLS
- Passion for sharing biblical, gospel-centered lessons to children
- Creativity and a willingness to try new things for teaching children the Gospel
- Excellent organizational skills for managing events, programing, and teams of people
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) not necessary, but a plus.
COMPENSATION
- This has the potential to grow as the ministry grows.
