What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Marketing Manager (Founding Team) position at LIVEY?
Company: LIVEY
Location: University of Iowa — Iowa City, Iowa
Positions Available: Hiring 2–3 students
Start Date: Mid-August 2026
Term: Fall 2026 semester
Help Build LIVEY’s University of Iowa Launch
LIVEY is a new video-first dating app designed to replace endless swiping with real face-to-face conversations.
The idea behind LIVEY is simple:
Modern dating apps have failed many of the people they were supposed to help.
They encourage people to spend more time looking at profiles, judging photos, collecting matches, and sending messages that often go nowhere.
LIVEY was created to help people actually meet.
Users connect through short, live video speed dates, talk face-to-face, and then decide whether they want to match.
The University of Iowa will be one of the first major campuses where LIVEY builds a dedicated student-led marketing strategy.
We are hiring 2–3 Campus Marketing Managers who want to help shape that strategy from the beginning.
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BE TOLD EXACTLY WHAT TO DO.
We are not hiring students to simply complete a checklist.
We are hiring students to think, create, test, learn, and lead.
You will have the freedom to decide how LIVEY should be introduced to the University of Iowa.
You will work directly with the founder, receive guidance and mentorship, and have access to company resources—but the campus strategy will largely be yours to build.
You may decide that Greek life is the best entry point.
You may believe student organizations, residence halls, creators, local businesses, professors, or launch events are more effective.
You may develop an idea no one at LIVEY has considered.
That is exactly what we want.
If you bring forward a strong idea, it will not disappear into a corporate approval process. We may move from idea to execution within the same week.
Your Mission
Your goal is not simply to generate downloads.
Your goal is to create real campus momentum.
LIVEY works best when students join together, talk about it together, and use it during the same live dating windows.
That means you will think beyond traditional advertising.
You will help answer questions such as:
- How do we make LIVEY feel relevant to Iowa students?
- What would make students curious enough to try it?
- How do we build trust around a brand-new dating app?
- Which groups on campus can help us spread the word?
- What kind of competition or event would generate real participation?
- How do we turn interest into active users?
- How do we create a launch that people remember?
Examples of What You Could Do
Your strategy may include:
- Running Greek life competitions
- Creating student organization referral challenges
- Partnering with residence halls
- Building relationships with campus leaders
- Setting up booths at university or community events
- Distributing flyers, QR codes, and branded materials
- Creating social media campaigns
- Recruiting campus creators
- Organizing launch nights
- Developing events designed around live dating
- Working with local Iowa City businesses
- Collaborating with student media
- Reaching out to professors in marketing, entrepreneurship, analytics, technology, psychology, sociology, or business
- Helping professors use LIVEY as a classroom case study or semester project
- Connecting with student consulting groups or university programs
- Gathering feedback directly from students
- Creating new ideas based on what makes the University of Iowa unique
You will not be limited to these ideas.
We want you to use your creativity.

- Priority consideration for future paid opportunities
- The chance to influence LIVEY’s long-term national campus strategy
LIVEY will cover approved campaign costs, including promotional materials, event expenses, branded merchandise, printing, and other resources needed to execute approved ideas.
Successful Campus Marketing Managers may be considered for future regional or national marketing opportunities as LIVEY expands.
The people who help LIVEY understand how to succeed at its first universities may become the people who help lead its next stage of growth.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
This is one of LIVEY’s first meaningful introductions to a college campus.
You will not be joining after the strategy has already been figured out.
You will help figure it out.
You will have the ability to influence how the company markets, how the product improves, how future campus teams operate, and how LIVEY eventually expands nationwide.
If you want a predictable role with a detailed list of assignments, this is probably not the right opportunity.
If you want to build, experiment, learn, and help create something from the beginning, we want to meet you.
