Role Overview: Provides anesthesia care in the operating room supporting surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision. Responsible for preoperative evaluation, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative follow-up, acting as a patient advocate and liaison among patients, families, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers anesthesia, selects appropriate drugs, and manages emergency treatments.
- Induces and maintains anesthesia, monitoring patient status and adjusting medications as needed.
- Communicates patient condition to surgical team and interprets hemodynamic data.
- Performs thorough preoperative assessments and ensures patient safety during procedures.
- Prepares the operating room, checks equipment, and coordinates with staff to ensure a safe environment.
- Responds to emergencies, maintains airway management, and charts accurately in EMR.
- Provides anesthesia support across assigned areas and mentors peers, staff, and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Comprehensive knowledge of anesthesia procedures, equipment, and patient safety protocols.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to clinical emergencies and interpret complex data.
