What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Livengrin Foundation?
Job Summary: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and conducting repairs on all Livengrin buildings, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Worker also transports patients to various locations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering.
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine the necessary repairs.
- Addresses immediate operational and safety concerns.
- Transports patients and materials as requested.
- Relocates furniture, office spaces, and equipment.
- Assist with setting up events.
- Provides security as needed to protect patients, staff, visitors, and the facility.
- Assists with upkeep of the facilities and housekeeping.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Wears safety footwear, glasses, protective gloves, a safety helmet, and a respirator when necessary.
- Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Maintains a flexible daily schedule and adapts as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Related experience preferred.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
- Requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and Narcan administration training.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with an on-call rotation.
