The Role at a Glance:
We are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated Maintenance Worker/Housekeeper to our Constellation team at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ.
Compensation: $17 an hour.
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, restrooms, kitchen spaces, and storage rooms.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces regularly.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with sanitation policies.
- Launder and restock linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Monitor cleanliness standards and report issues promptly.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and utensils following health code standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen deliveries.
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation chemicals are used and stored safely.
- Support kitchen staff during peak hours as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and facility issues.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests from restaurant or catering staff.
- Coordinate with external vendors for larger repairs and scheduled servicing.
- Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, kitchen stewarding, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and stand for extended periods.
