Role:
Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
Perform therapeutic procedures, monitor and wean oxygen and ventilation, analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs, assist with airway management, educate patients and staff, and ensure documentation of clinical information. Maintain certifications, stay updated on procedures, and comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree, current state license as a Respiratory Therapist, certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care, BLS certification, and ACLS within 90 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required for NICU.
Skills:
Proficiency with computer systems and data entry, strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy exertion and exposure to infectious materials.
Key Duties:
Conduct routine and advanced therapies, review patient data, educate staff and patients, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
