Role:
The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex critical care settings.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered care, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, interpret arterial blood gases, and educate patients, families, and staff. Collaborate with healthcare teams, ensure safety and quality standards, document accurately, and support performance improvement initiatives. Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures and mentor new staff and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Requires a minimum of 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Must hold relevant certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP. Demonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills. Education requirements include a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
