Position:
Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Day Surgery Unit (DSU) and preoperative holding area (PHA).
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for pediatric, geriatric, and general patients.
- Assess and manage patient pain, utilizing appropriate techniques and educating patients and families.
- Establish and implement care plans based on physician orders and patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and families regarding clinical changes and treatment responses.
- Address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs, respecting patient dignity and involving families in care planning and discharge processes.
- Respond quickly and accurately to clinical changes, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Current Nevada Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Current ACLS & BLS certifications.
- Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and provide personalized patient care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond promptly to changing patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare team members.
